via usatoday.com Fans of the blonde firecracker that is Kristin Chenoweth will want to make sure they're in Las Vegas for New Years Eve. The Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress rings in 2014 with an exclusive performance at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, the world class cultural center located near Downtown Las Vegas. Tickets go on sale for Chenoweth's special one night only performance this Friday, October 11. "I can't believe I finally get to come back to Vegas," says Chenoweth, who is appearing at The Smith Center for the first time. "My director and I, Jay Alexander, will fashion a show just for Vegas." SEE MORE: Bruno Mars to perform for NYE at The Cosmopolitan Even though she's performed in Las Vegas before, she's a definite fan of the city itself, and plans to have a little fun of her own while she's in town. "I love to be in that town so I would imagine there'll be everything to do: eating, shopping, blackjack," she admits. "I plan on enjoying myself. And there is no better way to ring in the new year than in Vegas. I have family and friends coming in for this event." Fans can look forward to not only an array of her most memorable roles and show tunes, such as songs from musicals Promises, Promises;You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; and Wicked, where she originated the role of Glinda the Good Witch, as well as music from her appearances on Glee. But Chenoweth has a few surprises in store as well. "I will, of course, do songs I'm known for by my fans, but also newer material that I just started singing," she reveals. "Opera, musical theater and country pop will all be well represented. I will be doing a show with background singers, actors and dancers with a small orchestra. There of course is dancing! What is New Years without that!"
