By Michael Gioia, via playbill.com Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will take part in the Hudson Union Society's conversational series, "Hudson Union Society Salutes Broadway," and offer a live performance Sept. 13 at the society's midtown location. The event, set to begin at 7 PM, salutes trailblazers from Broadway, who, according to press notes, "share their perspectives in an intimate setting, encouraging a style of discourse rarely found in America since Benjamin Franklin invented cable news." Chenoweth won the Tony Award in 1999 for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She was nominated in 2004 for her performance in Wicked and has also been seen on Broadway in Steel Pier, Epic Proportions, The Apple Tree and Promises, Promises. The actress is also known for her film and television work and will soon be appearing in the new ABC series "GCB." The Hudson Union Society provides an intimate modern setting for people from all walks of life to actively engage with some of the world's most influential people.
